2017 marked an outstanding year for Ben Klick as he played at multiple major festivals and events throughout the year.
He was a lead nominee (5) at the 2017 British Columbia Country Music Awards winning Country Club Act of the Year and getting nods for Fans’ Choice, Male Vocalist of the Year, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, and more. Releasing “That’s Who I Wanna Be” and “What’s Going On”,
Klick celebrated national radio airplay and adds on Sirius XM Satellite Radio.
The “What’s Going On 2017 Tour” took place between April and September packing over 20 shows including The Rockin’ River Music Fest, Sunfest, and Calgary Stampede.
Klick has opened for country music icon Tanya Tucker, and shared bills with Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, Chase Bryant, Tim Hicks, and Brett Kissel.
Following a launch of the “Today EP” in September of 2015, recorded and produced down in Nashville by Clay Krasner and RyLee Madison of 7-17 Music, Klick released three singles; One of which made it into the Top 100 on the TRAX Reporting Chart in Canada, and received international airplay in Australia, Poland, Germany, and throughout Europe.
Over the years, Klick has won five North American Country Music Association Awards, two British Columbia Country Music Awards, a Performing Arts Award, Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Okanagan College Young Alumni Award, and was a Top 7 Canada’s Walk of Fame Emerging Artist, BreakOut West SOCAN Song House Participant, and Global Country Canada Star Search Winner.
Klick’s reputation as a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist musician, and virtuoso guitar player has granted him the fun-loving, interactive storyteller who fuses traditional sounds with a modern country twist.
