New Album Released called LUFKIN, featuring new Single “Big In Texas”
I was taken back when I listened to the new CD because it totally reflected on his many accolades and tributes to the music industry.
He stands above the crowd as a Singer, and Performer and Randy’s New Single “Big In Texas” is currently hitting high in the charts and you can listen to the new CD here https://www.reverbnation.com/randymoore6
Randy is a terrific songwriter whose tunes are generated from his heart and experiences in a way that always feels very personal to himself and his audience. His voice reminds me of The great Don Williams and Randy can stand proud next to him. All 10 of these songs were written or co written by Randy. It is very hard to pick a favorite with all songs being exceptional, but My favorite Song is “Daddy I wanna go Fishin”, about the love and closeness Randy had with his dad. I can see many fathers and sons reminiscing about their own relationships. Another favorite that people will love is “Old Grey Dog” about the unconditional love of the family pet. My favorite line of the song “ when you turn the letters around they spell God”. This says it all and I wonder how many people have even thought of that.
Distinguished musicians on this cd are Troy Klontz (Pedal-Steel Guitar), Gregg Morrow (Drums & Percussion), and Norbert Putman (Electric Bass).
Randy’s new single “Big in Texas” co written with David Lee is about when a young man choses something not expected of himself.
RANDY C MOORE is a Global Music Artist. A native of Humble, Texas, at 15 years of age he was making his own records; and with the help of Houston radio personality Arch Yancey (KNUZ), his first single releases were receiving significant Texas radio airplay.
In addition, he was also a regular feature of the world-famous Gilley’s.
By the time he graduated high school, Randy was a guest star on WSM’s Grand Ole Opry hosted by Roy Acuff.
He attended Belmont University in Nashville for modern recording and pro song writing.
All the while, he was opening shows on the road with Hank Williams Jr., David Allen Coe, Amy Grant, Vince Gill, and Lee Ann Rimes.
His song writing career teamed him up with Nashville greats, Restless Heart, Pat Bunch, David Lee, and rockabilly legend, Carl Perkins.
“ …becoming friends with Carl was about the easiest thing I’d ever done. I’m pretty sure he knew I was nervous, but it all went away with a little, ‘well, how ya’ doin’ son?’…I really miss Carl.”
In October 2001, Randy was a feature artist on The Alliance of Neighbors (Red Bank, NJ) 9/11 Benefit Concert with Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Phoebe Snow, Joe Ely, and Smithereens. Randy performed with a backing band composed of Elvis Presley’s rhythm section.
“I sang some Carl Perkins songs with Elvis’ old band mates. It was time to let folks know that God cared for them in their darkest time of need…I hoped it was enough.”
Randy is currently riding on the success of his new music by playing shows from Monaco to Shanghai, China, and the U.S. lower 48 states. He is also host of the worldwide radio show “Neon Music Country Legacy” and is currently co-producing new music with hit-maker, Norbert Putnam, in Muscle Shoals, AL.
“I’ve been given a great gift…It’s a privilege and an opportunity to make people feel good by playing music for them. I consider myself beyond lucky to do that, day after day.”
